Travel Has Never Been More Rewarding – Or More Risky
Why Travel Advisors Charge a Fee
Just like you'd pay a lawyer for legal counsel or a financial planner for investment strategy, travel planning is a professional service that deserves professional compensation. Here's what you're actually paying for when you work with me:
Time & Expertise
• Destination knowledge – I specialize in Hawaii, Alaska, and Caribbean travel. I know which cruise lines deliver the best family programming, which shore excursions are worth your time, and which cabin categories maximize your value.
• Itinerary customization – Your trip is tailored to your vision, not a template. Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, planning a family reunion, or organizing group travel, I invest hours understanding what matters to you.
• Research & planning – I handle weeks of research, price comparisons, and logistics so you don't spend midnight scrolling travel websites wondering if you made the right choice.
Supplier Relationships & Access
• Exclusive rates & perks – My connections with cruise lines, hotels, and tour operators unlock group discounts, early-bird pricing, and amenities you won't find online. Booking seven cabins individually costs $30–$300+ more per person than a group contract.
• Priority service – When you need something, I have direct contacts who prioritize your requests—not a customer service queue.
• Insider recommendations – I know which properties deliver real value, which experiences are worth the splurge, and which ones to skip.
Risk Management & Peace of Mind
• Real-time problem solving – Flight oversold? Hotel overbooked? Itinerary changed? I'm on the phone with my contacts advocating for you—securing upgrades, refunds, or alternative solutions you wouldn't get alone.
• Cancellation & change support – I handle all the details if plans shift, protecting your investment and your peace of mind.
• Pre-departure & during-trip support – Passport questions? Last-minute logistics? I'm here before you leave and available while you're away.
Personalized Planning
• Group coordination – Managing multiple families or a reunion? I handle all the moving pieces so everyone's on the same page.
• Special occasion expertise – Honeymoons, milestone birthdays, family celebrations—I know how to make these moments truly magical.
• Tailored recommendations – Every suggestion is based on your preferences, budget, and travel style—not generic templates.
The Real Cost of Booking Alone
When you book on your own, you're working with the same public rates everyone else sees. You miss group discounts. You navigate changes alone. You spend time researching instead of anticipating your trip. That's not just inconvenient—it costs you money and peace of mind. My fee ensures you get expert guidance, exclusive access, and an advocate in your corner from start to finish.
